Alex English may have been the definition of the term “sneaky good.” Throughout the 1980s, English averaged 21, 24, 25, 28, 26, 28, almost 30, 29, 25, 27, and 18 in points per game year to year. He also led the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals in 1985. Although he never garnered as much attention as Kareem, Magic, or Bird, he steadily climbed up the ranks of all-time scoring leaders in Denver’s high-octane offense. English currently sits 23rd on the all-time NBA/ABA list between Vince Carter and Reggie Miller. The poster design shows Alex English mid-lay-up against a navy background with segmented rainbows framing him on each side. The jersey rainbow extends past Mr. English to both the left and right edges of the poster, while his number appears in a royal panel flanked by gold trim at the bottom.
