The Bakersfield Blaze were a member of the Class-AA California League until 2016, when they became defunct. Before they did, however, (in 2010) I developed this design. For the color palette, I swapped out the black and orange for a scheme of red, charcoal grey, orange, and white. The primary logo features a revised BLAZE script juxtaposed against a flaming baseball with BAKERSFIELD below and is complemented by a standalone B and flaming-baseball. The standalone BLAZE wordmark and a BAKERSFIELD version make up the workmarks, while a rounded modern numeral typeface appears on the bulk of the jerseys. The primary home uniforms are highlighted by red sleeves and the team’s wordmark emblazoned across the chest. There is also an all red jersey with the BLAZE script for home use. The away uniforms start with a charcoal base with jersey options in charcoal with red sleeves and an all-red version. The two away jerseys lead with an orange BAKERSFIELD wordmark to complement the heavy use of charcoal and red. To complete the uniform offerings we have a faux-back with the team’s B over the heart and an old-time white cap complete with piping across the seams, as well as an orange jersey paired with the home white pants.
