Paul Kariya, a fast skating and skilled winger from North Vancouver who played his college hockey for Maine, was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 1994/95 NHL Draft. Over the course of the next nine seasons in Anaheim, Kariya would form a potent offensive duo with Teemu Selanne, earning three NHL First All-Star Team distinctions, two Lady Bing Trophies, and a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2003. Although his career was shortened by concussions, Kariya still made enough of an impression to have his number 9 retired by the Ducks in 2018. This illustration brings back a touch of the 90s using a tilted grid in the background. Kariya appears front-and-center ready with the Captain’s C on his chest. The Mighty Ducks’ classic eggplant, jade, silver, and athletic gold give the poster a Mighty feeling.
