Robin Yount was a Milwaukee Brewer for two decades. In that time, he amassed 3,142 hits, three All-Star appearances, three Silver Slugger Awards, two AL MVP awards, and a Gold Glove. Though he played Shortstop early in his career, he would save Juan Nieves’s 1987 no-hitter with a diving catch in centerfield. In addition to his membership in the 3,000 Hit Club, Yount drilled 251 homers and 583 doubles. The Kid would also steal 271 bases. This illustration proudly displays Yount swinging his bat while donning the Brewers’ 1982 powder blue away uniforms. The People’s Flag of Milwaukee is abstracted in the background to remind the viewer that Rockin’ Robin is a Brew City icon.
