Edmonton Oilers

I may be in the minority, but I really like the Oilers in navy. Starting with a color palette of navy, rust, and metallic gold, I developed a mark that showcased the oil derricks of northern Alberta against the Canadian Rockies. I also created an oil drop mark (with a navy oil drop, not orange) in a roundel and a standalone version, with a riveted E finalizing the logo set. The typeface brings back the modernized block font from the 2001 through 2007 alternate jerseys. The uniforms are straightforward with three stripes on the sleeves and hemline. The alternate adds an orange shoulder yoke against a royal uniform for a throwback flair.
